Fantastic 25th Birthday Party Ideas

Turning 21 isn’t the only milestone birthday you have in your twenties! 25 is definitely not a year to be ignored. We think that making it halfway through your second decade is definitely something to celebrate! While each birthday is special and definitely worth a party, your 25th birthday is an especially awesome occasion to break out the confetti and the birthday cake! If you're stumped on where to begin your planning, we've come up with a few ideas to help you out!

1. Dinner Party.

What better way to celebrate the start of a new year (and one as exciting as 25, to boot!) than by being surrounded by excellent food and even better friends? We can’t think of many things more fun! Gather your guys and gals and head to a restaurant, or cook up a birthday feast at home- you can’t go wrong with either option! Bonus points if you send out snail mail invitations for an extra thoughtful touch!

2. 90s Party.

You spent your childhood wishing that you could be Kelly Kapowski, so why not make that dream into a reality with a 90s-themed bash! Challenge the dudes to find the best pair of hammer pants or acid wash jeans, and ask the girls to dig their Alaia’s out of their closets. Don’t forget to stock up on Maddog 2020s!

3. Murder Mystery.

Murder Mystery parties are only becoming more and more popular as the months go by! Order a kit or create your own, and let the fun begin! Be sure to invite people who you know will really get into the spirit of the party- the more each guest gets into their role, the better!

4.Champagne Party.

There’s a reason why champagne is known the world around as a celebratory drink- just thinking about it puts us into the party mood! So why not throw a champagne-themed party to really up the sophistication level of your birthday bash? Whip up a batch of champagne cookies, use modge podge and glitter to transform your champagne bottles, and even hand out mini champagne bottles to guests as favors- this party is sure to be a hit!

5. Outdoor Movie Night.

Remember how much fun you had as a kid when you’d hit a drive-in movie? While these kind of theaters are slowly becoming fewer and more far between, there’s nothing that says you can’t recreate the same vibes in your very own backyard! All you need is a movie projector, a sheet, your favorite party snacks, and an early ‘90s flick to really bring you back to your childhood!

6. Roaring 20s.

Making it halfway through your twenties is a fabulous excuse to throw a roaring twenties themed birthday party! Have your guests dress up in their best flapper dresses or zoot suits, serve prohibition-era cocktails like a Gin Rickey or French 75, and have a blast dancing the night away!

7. Food Trucks.

Having a food truck cater your party is a unique and super fun option for making your birthday especially memorable. Food trucks are currently all the rage, and getting your favorite one to stop by your party isn’t too expensive and will really thrill your friends!

8. Vegas.

Take a page out of stars like Emily Ratajkowski, Ciara, Drake, Paris Hilton, and Khloe Kardashian’s books, and have your 25 th birthday in Las Vegas! Sin City is considered by many to be the adult Disneyland, and it’s not hard to see why! You’ll have a ball toasting your new age at one of Vegas’ many clubs- don’t forget to rock a sash!

9. Cocktail Party.

As you get older, cocktail parties become more and more common place. A little more sophisticated and exciting than a regular house party, hosting a cocktail party for your 25 th birthday is a great way to get excited about what’s to come. Don’t forget to mix up a signature drink for guests to sip so you save money (and time) on bartending!

10. Weekend Getaway.

Now that you’re (almost) 25, you and your best girlfriends probably have a little more money in your pockets than you did at 22. Grabbing your besties and heading somewhere fun and cool like San Francisco, Boston, or New Orleans for the weekend is a fabulous and quite memorable way to celebrate your newest year!
